Growing up near the beach Matt was no stranger to water. Throughout his high school days as a beach lifeguard, Matt developed his running and swimming skills through beach lifesaving competitions. Matt finally turned to biking early into college and then competed in his first triathlon in 2003. Since then Matt has proven that he’s a capable, driven triathlete, especially at the ITU and 70.3 distances and now he is ready to show everyone what he has for the Ironman distance. Watch out world!
